The October challenge is all about shining a light on femininity and celebrating womanhood. We couldn’t think of two more inspiring women to discuss this with than our very own co-founders, Jacqui Kingswell and Tash Oakley.
We sat down to discuss all things femininity and confidence, including their top tips and tricks to feel their best from the inside out. No matter what stage of womanhood you’re in, Tash and Jacqui have cracked the code for what it means to fully embrace - and ignite - your feminine fire.
First things first - when do you feel the most feminine?
Jacqui: I feel the most feminine when I’m moving my body to music. There’s something incredibly powerful about being fully present and appreciating my body exactly as it is in that moment. It’s a daily practice to love and honor ourselves, but when I allow myself to move freely, it’s the ultimate expression of empowerment and self-love.
Tash: Every single day I feel feminine in both the highs, like when I’m channeling that “girl boss” power, and the lows, when I’m just not feeling it as much. I think it’s so important to embrace your femininity daily, no matter how it makes you feel. Femininity is such a beautiful thing and every day offers a new opportunity to connect with it.
What self-care practices make you feel the most confident and feminine
Jacqui: For me, self-care is all about creating rituals that make me feel connected to myself - taking a warm, indulgent bath, cooking a meal while vibing to music, wearing something that makes me feel confident, and, of course, moving my body.
Tash: Pilates is huge for me! Whether it’s an intense workout or a gentle stretch, it’s essential to my daily routine and always boosts my energy and confidence. Then, there’s skincare - I genuinely look forward to it every day. It’s so calming and feels like such a caring way to nurture my body. I also try to maintain a balanced diet; when I feel my best on the inside, that inner glow radiates outward. And, of course, a cute bikini! There’s just nothing like the confidence boost from wearing something that makes you feel good.
How has practicing Pilates impacted your confidence?
Jacqui: Pilates has completely transformed the way I view my body. It’s taught me to truly appreciate what my body can do, not just how it looks. Through functional movement, Pilates allows me to explore new shapes and tap into my inner strength, which in turn has boosted my confidence both physically and mentally.
Tash: Pilates emphasizes core stability, which translates into strength and confidence. It’s amazing how much better I feel with improved posture; I’m literally and figuratively standing taller haha! I also love the mind-body connection in Pilates, it really helps me feel in tune with myself. Plus, goal achievement is a big part of it. Setting goals in Pilates, seeing myself build strength, and improving technique or flexibility - all of that is such a confidence booster.
One of the themes for this challenge is igniting your feminine fire. What does that mean to you, and how do you ignite it within yourself?
Jacqui: To me, igniting your feminine fire is about embracing your strength, sensuality, and empowerment every day. It’s a daily practice of affirming who you are, whether through movement, positive self-talk, or nurturing yourself through self-care. By consistently honoring these rituals, you connect with your true essence and step confidently into the world, fully embracing your feminine power.
Tash: For me, it all begins with movement. Pilates works wonders, but sometimes it’s as simple as a walk to connect with my body. I also love connecting with nature; just being outdoors to take a walk around my neighborhood grounds me in the moment. Mindfulness is also essential. I’ll practice it at home or outside, and I make time for daily breathwork to feel centered and connected with myself.
This challenge is all about celebrating womanhood. What women have you looked up to throughout your life and why?
Jacqui: There are several women I look up to, and having role models is so important. My older sister has always been a source of inspiration - she’s naturally confident, stays in her own lane, and doesn’t compare herself to others, which is such a beautiful quality. My business partner and best friend, Natasha Oakley, is another woman I admire deeply. She embraces her body, beauty, and confidence fully, and seeing someone so comfortable in their own skin is incredibly empowering.
Tash: I’m lucky to be surrounded by incredible women every day, both in my personal life and at work. My brands are all-women teams, and I’m genuinely inspired by my friends, family, colleagues, and business partners. Each of them is hardworking, talented, and unique in their own way, and they inspire me constantly.
What advice would you give someone struggling to embrace their femininity and confidence?
Jacqui: Find a role model who lifts you up and makes you feel empowered. Pay attention to how you feel when you see their content - does it inspire you or bring you down? Surround yourself with positivity. Also, find a workout routine that brings you joy, practice daily affirmations, and remember it’s okay not to feel your best all the time. Life isn’t linear, but by starting with small, consistent practices, you’ll see the bigger changes unfold naturally.
Tash: Start by finding something that lights up that fire within you, whether it’s this challenge or a new practice. Surround yourself with like-minded women, too! There’s nothing like the energy boost from being around others who radiate feminine energy. Our communities at TPC are built on this supportive spirit and it’s amazing what happens when women uplift each other!
