Having a strong core goes a lot deeper than the rectus abdominis (“ 6 pack”) . The Pilates class fundamental core connection starts with strengthening the pelvic floor, transversus, activation of breath and rib alignment. Having a strong core has so many benefits for your body and is what we call your power house. It supports your posture, balance, increases strength, prevents injury and above all allows you to connect to your body on a deeper level.
